1. Account Setup

Create your account. Upload documents and track your progress in one place.
Time: 5 min
2Estimate
Use the estimator tool in your account for an estimated value of your business story. No documents are uploaded at this stage. The actual value will be clearly stated at the contract stage. Accept or deny the amount offered at that stage.
Time: 10–15 min
3NDA
Before you upload anything, we sign a one-way NDA that binds Spakari, not you. Your documents, your identity, your conversations, and every name in them stay confidential with us.
Time: 1–2 min
4Owner identity & business verification
Confirming who we're working with protects the integrity of every business on the platform. Verification is done once, through Stripe, the payments company that sends your payout.
Time: 5–10 min
Why Stripe?
Stripe has to confirm who it's paying, by law. We use that same check rather than asking you twice.
Stripe is the payments company that sends your payout. Your identity, tax, and bank details stay with Stripe; Spakari receives the verification results.
2. Documents
Steps 5–6 of 105Contract
Your personalized contract lists the documents you said you can provide and the amount you will be paid by Spakari for the complete business data package created through our platform. Remember you own your original documents and files. Spakari owns the anonymized data and the interviews collected on the platform. Think of it like this. Spakari takes a picture of your business and pays you for it. All we own is the picture.
Time: 5–10 min
6Documents
Upload the documents listed in your contract within seven days. Each file is checked for the required format as it's uploaded. If a file can't be read, you'll be asked for another copy.
Time: About 30 min, required to be completed within 7 days of signing the contract
3. Interviews
Step 7 of 10Interviews are given by our AI interviewer in the form of written questions. You can respond by voice or text.
7Owner interviews
The story behind your decisions is where the value lies. Your documents set up the questions and our AI interviewer talks with you over a series of conversations, each about one part of how you've run the business.
Time: 2–8 hours in all, depending on the size of the business and the years covered
4. Payout
Steps 8–10 of 108Owner review
This review is completed by you, the owner. It is your final review to confirm the information is correct and your last opportunity to remove or change any of the information you have provided.
Time: 15–30 min
9Spakari's review
Once you have completed all the required steps, Spakari reviews the completed package. If anything is missing or inadequate, you'll be asked to correct it.
10Receive your payout
You receive the full contract amount, paid to the bank account you linked through Stripe, right after Spakari's review.
